Most of the justification for her NOT be a Mary sue is the fact that there are more movies coming out and it will eventually explain why she can do pretty much anything better than anyone else.
That justification is pure shit because you shouldn't judge a movie based on sequels that haven't been released yet.

This. Plenty of Mary Sue's explain and 'justify' there powers and abilities. Doesn't change them being a Mary Sue. The whole point of why it's a problem is because a character that has no flaws, and everyone (that isn't a villain) likes, and can do everything better than every other character is fucking boring and actively makes the story worse. Their character arcs are garbage or nonexistent, and they prevent other characters from doing anything cool themselves.

The problem with her and TFA overall was that rather than introducing these characters by telling a story with them, their introducing took place of the story.
Anyone remember the story? Or rather how pointless it was and how close it was to A New Hope. Only Kylo got introduction through story, wheres the racemix couple had wacky interracial scavenge hunt for plot objects. Rey doesn't grow. Finn doesn't grow. Rey suddenly has the force, and Finn was never unmasked. The Stormtrooper from the beginning wasn't slowly unmasked to be Finn during the wacky collecta-thon. Finn was never Stormtrooper, no. You didn't watch Stormtrooper being unmasked. You watched dindu pretending to be Stormtrooper.
The point of TFA was to establish Rey and Finn as lovers, so that on Episode 8 Finn can chase after Rey, and on Episode 9 they can share a kiss. Its why TFA rushed their "friendship" and separated them at the end.
