There was a definite improvement from the older films but there were still a few moments of classic comedy Stormtrooper marksmanship. The time where Rey is trying to find the safety on her blaster is pretty classic.
I mean, she's stood still in the open well within blaster range for several seconds, and has long enough to sort her gun out and fire a few shots without either of the Stormtroopers managing to hit her. She doesn't even take cover.

Holy shit what if they pulled the same thing like with amidala again?! What if the traitor trooper was actually phasma in disguise? Thats why whoever wore the silver armor was such a pussy and really ended up dying, while the real phasma out on the field gets rescued by hux and is saved.
