Anybody seen picrelated?
Just finished it, and I thought it was a pretty neat film for what it was trying to accomplish.

Took me a while to realize that was Rachel Weiss. She's still fucking hot.
I'd recommend Dogtooth by the same director. Insanely creepy.

Yeah it was alright. Interesting but not as crazy good as some implied it to be.

I think when juxtaposed to the other films released this year, it is comparatively better.
Some may think it's a bit artsy fartsy but I think just because of the concept, the film within itself is good.

>Dogtooth
In fact, it was [pretty good. ]
It's one of my recent favorites.
The director also made Alps, which is interesting.
Thought this was hilarious and poignant. Should I watch Dogtooth?
Watch Alps for more uncomfortable dancing scenes!
I think it's my favorite film this year. I'd heard of Lanthimos' work before but hadn't actually seen them. After watching The Lobster I watched Dogtooth and I have Alps and Attenberg sitting on my hard drive.
He kind of reminds me of Charlie Kaufman, I think they both have (or at least are trying to explore) a sort of warped view of the human experience, and it makes for pretty original film making.

I liked Dogtooth since it was a simple story of power but this movie was way too dense for me. It just has so many weird things going for it.
What the fuck were those two chicks speaking in French talking about?

The first time it was about helping the loners plan an attack on the hotel, and the second time it was about finding the short sighted woman's diary, that talked about going into the city with the protagonist.

It had some decent ideas but it didn't have enough payoff as the the plot just doesn't creaky go anywhere once he escapes
I got the feeling it would have made a much better book than a film
