Can someone explain the pros of Ultra Panavision 70?
Surely if it's an extra wide aspect ratio, wouldn't even more of the screen be taken up by black bars, as most cinemas can't/won't make their screens any wide, so to fit it all on the image would need to be made smaller.

Yeah it isn't the most visually impressive film I've ever seen, but you can't deny that Tarantino is a bigger film buff than 99% of the people here combined and knows what looks great on the screen. There are some really beautiful shots that I doubt most other filmmakers would have been able to create. On top of that his writing is as good if not better than it has ever been imo.
