I didn't find The Revenant as dull and predictable as others in this thread, quite the contrary in fact.

I personally liked the Revenant more this is one of those movies that is art for the sake of art. Hateful 8 is a lot more juvenile, more violence, dick jokes, and the typical shit that you'd expect from Quentin. Very entertaining but it's like comparing the Sistine Chapel to Graffitti.

I did point out that Quentin is very juvenile but he does write dialogue that is your average frat house banter very well and makes it entertaining and engaging.
