We see her really into scrubbing the piece and its implied that she does her thinking while doing so the way a wage worker thinks while doing manual labor. We then see her glance at the old lady in front of her working across her booth. We see raehs face as she drinks a moment of reality. The old woman across from her working is now a mirror of the future if her life doesn't change for the better.
Later we see raeh, with bb8, back to the vendor to trade some scraps metal for food. The vendor offers a great amount of food for the droid and you can see the look on raehs face that she almost took the trade but then its implied that as she looked back at the droid she thought about the old woman working at the booth in front of her.
I liked that and I didn't catch it until my third time watching it.

He's not really holding his own against Kylo in any real sense, though. Kylo is clearly not trying his hardest. Finn just held his own against an annoyed Kylo who wasn't fully trying until the moment he got hit, at which point the fight is INSTANTLY over. Kylo allowed the fight to go on as long as it did because he wasn't really trying until the end.

no. he was never trying to win. he was just holding her off because he wanted her to turn to the dark side. snoke told him to i think. told him to bring her to him. so rey just took advantage of that and rustled him. then the ground split. if the book is to be taken as canon, it was the dark side that powered her up so much. kind of like how it powered up luke before he came to his senses. apparently she wanted to kill him, was going to, but the ground split and she lost her chance to kill him while he was down
