Anyone else watching It's a Wonderful Life?

Both look pretty good

Original is best but Donna Reed is hot in colour
Watching the black-and-white version on TV.
Makes me sad I'll never live in a world like that. I'll just be an underemployed childless shitbag working a dead-end job as the media tells me ad infinitum how evil I am for existing and having white skin and a penis.
>>64061907
I am almost on that level but I am married but we do not make enough to have kids. Also my wife has Lupus and is on a million drugs so the kids would likely be mutants.
Also watching on tv now. I have done this every Christmas eve for as long as I can remember.
>>64061861
agreed
>>64061861
>tfw born in the wrong time and will never have a woman as perfect as Donna Reed
>>64060847
I'm not watching it this year. Sick of trying to be like George Baily. Everyone just wants to use you.
>/tv/ prefers black n white over color
/pol/ defeat assured
YOU ONCE CALLED ME A WARPED FRUSTRATED OLD MAN.
WHAT ARE YOU BUT A WARPED FRUSTRATED YOUNG MAN?
>>64060847

>>64062198
YOU'RE WORTH MORE DEAD THAN ALIVE
>>64062430

Never fails to make me laugh.

It's more like "True the dow or out the windou!"
>>64062744
tfw anybody says Sheldon Leonard today, they think you're talking about the Big Bang Theory
>>64060847
I watched it on stage last week and I was pretty disappointed. It was good right until Clarence started showing Geroge what the world would be like without him and then it went too fast, there weren't any more songs and nothing really got resolved. George wanted to exist so his kids existed but the central conflict of him wanting to kill himself for insurance money wasn't solved. Then it ends.

>Being white is so hard! I wanna go back to the forties where everything was going so well! :'(
Dear god it's like a reverse tumblr
>you will never have a wife as beautiful as Donna Reed
>>64063028
>I'll never have kids or a house, I'll just live in my cuck cube paying 80% of my income out in rent and play video games until I reach middle age and realize I wasted my life! All is well :DDDDD

mfw this exists
>>64063356
my wife's son cant sit still while watching old movies like this
>>64063174
>Implying I don't want a family or a house of my own,
Funnily enough the film actually points out how hard it was to get those things in the period you idolise so much, unless you happen to be lucky enough to have a guy like George Bailey on your side.
>>64063400
desu I don't think I would have when I was a kid either
>>64063367
Oh dear.
Here's how my day has been going.
In order:
1. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (animated)
2. A. Charlie Brown Christmas
3. Elf
4. Home Alone (original)
5. The Strike (Seinfeld - Festivus)
6. It's a Wonderful Life (black and white) [Currently watching]
7. The Polar Express
Then the kids go to bed and I wrap presents. Next up:
8. A Christmas Story
9. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
10. Bad Santa
Might squeeze in Die Hard or some Beavis and Butthead Christmas specials somewhere.
i still cry at the endings
I love the world they live in, everyone is out and about, mingling with friends and the bar and so. Its so comfy
>>64062947
Yes. But no hip-hop, urbanization, or diversification.
>>64061811
Black and White. The colorization is a Ted Turner desecration.
>>64062744
Is that why SJW's hate this film so much?
>>64060847
By far my favorite Christmas movie.
Unlike a christmas story, which always put me to sleep halfway through. 25 years of watching that snore-fest every year and I've still don't know how it ends
>>64063023
He no longer requires the insurance to save his company and ergo Bedford Falls. The townsfolk gather to resolve the financial issue. And it's not just the kids, or Mary, or his brother or friends. It's everything he couldn't see when he was down and out that came to the fore that willed him to live on. The central concept is existential albeit low-brow. The argument that nothing had changed is insincere, if not for the reasons i've already listed then because at the end of the day when they all leave and George is left alone with a whiskey by the fireplace he no longer has the burden of seeing through the internal turmoil that had overcome him. He is the richest man in town, figuratively not literally.
>>64062947
Thats actually a great cast but this film doesn't require a remake and I hope Hollywood leaves it alone.
>>64060847
Same.
[Spoiler] "Please God. Let me live again". [Spoiler/]
;_;
"Is he sick?"
"No, worse, he's discouraged"
>>64060847
This movie is extremely problematic
Daily reminder that Pottersville is infinitely more economically prosperous and fun.
>>64071681
Pottersville is devoid of character.
I don't watch crhistmas movies on christmas it's boring
Only nigger loving hippies hate this movie
>>64073010
But there are three black people in the movie. Granted two of them don't have line. But shouldn't that be enough?
>>64073027
Too many imo, but I guess you didnt see the doc about Cannon Films you nigger loving hippie
