Jedi is actually fun and has a lot of redeeming qualities like Jabba's Palace, the scenes on Endor before they encounter Ewoks, destroying the Death Star II and the whole Vader vs. Luke vs. Sheev.
Sith has a few fun parts but it's really not that good. I watched it about a week ago and I'm struggling to note anything good in it aside from Ewan McGregor and Ian McDiarmid.
RotS has one of the worst things that happens in the entirety of the saga.
Why is Darth Vader suddenly is his iconic suit from the OT? They just had this specialised suit all ready for him when he gets burnt and injured.

I feel like Jedi is the perfect conclusion, probably moreso with the prequels around than without them. But even before the PT finished, something about Jedi always felt perfect.
I think it's because I feel like Jedi perfectly brings together two elements that have always been part of the Saga and that's the campy innocence which we see much more strongly in ANH and TPM and the dark, almost "outer space gothic" feel that is most profound in ESB and ROTS. Jedi is the perfect balance of these two elements that is perfect for it to be able to serve as the Saga's conclusion.
Also, while ESB is iconic for its great bombshell near the end, the reveal that Luke's the son of Vader is not all that great from a writing standpoint if you just take ANH and ESB by themselves. For me, ROTJ is what makes all this saga of Vader being Luke's father worthwhile. In the context of the OT, it provides a purpose for the reveal, in the context of the wider Saga and lore, it's a great conclusion to Anakin's character arc.

RotJ has a bunch of dumb shit (Ewoks, opening scene not really related to the rest of the plot, random Luke/Leia bombshell, contrived circumstances to put literally the entire principal cast all into Jabba's Palace at the same time, same old Death Star BUT BIGGER OMG, Ewoks, Ewoks beating AT-ST's seriously wtf)
however at least it had good shit to make the movie still worth watching (Jabba's Palace sequence is badass despite being kind of dumb, character interactions are still entertaining, speeder bike sequence is great, the confrontation between Luke and the Emperor/Vader is a fantastic sequence) and the whole film is just shot and scored so fuckin beautifully that it's a joy to experience even when you need to go "ugh that was kind of stupid" occasionally.
meanwhile the prequels are just 6 hours and 30 minutes of "god when will this be over" with only occasionally interesting scenes scattered in. and the photography is just way the fuck worse than the Original Trilogy.
the prequels still have a 10/10 composer writing their soundtracks and a few worthwhile emotional highs and lows but the action and direction is just so crappy and lazy most of the time that it's not compelling.
TFA at least had some interesting shots/concepts that we haven't seen before especially in the beginning, but basically the moment Rey and Finn get into the Falcon the movie just goes full throttle fanservice and rehash, with this annoying Marvel-y tone that never goes away (random tentacle monster sequence definitely could have been time better spent explaining just exactly what is going on in the universe). and the dogfights are still Prequel-style CGI shitfests with no sense of pacing where they just cram as much shit as possible into the frame, except now with X-Wings.
It's imitation Star Wars, basically. It's not as terrible of a fate as Star Wars under Lucas' creative control, but still kinda boring.

Palpatine seems to be just fine as a "normal" person while still being incredibly powerful in the Force. Going into a blind rage during some intense combat scenario is going to be similar regardless of whether you're a force user or not, although with Dark Side users it's more of a heightened (and embraced) state as opposed to "DURR I'M A MINDLESS LUNATIC NOW".
