It was an incoherent mess and tryhard pretentious garbage.
>>64049410

>>64051194
decent movie. not out of this world, but still good
>>64051047
>incoherent mess and tryhard pretentious garbage
So...it was made by Paul Thomas Anderson?
>>64051047
It's faithful to Pynchon
>>64051194
decent flick
>>64050966
love that suit
Literally millennial "masterpieces": the thread.
>>64051410
dont forget your fedora
>>64051047
You're thinking of the master. Inherent Vice was about the CIA taking over the degeneracy industry so that it could dominate all forms of state opposition.
Open a book, grow a brain cell, etc.
>>64051461
jesus man.. ive tried to block out the master from my mind. thanks for reminding man....ive also tried blocking out the pretentious shit the tree of life.
>no one has posted a real human bean yet
/tv/ is fucking dead
Thanks Star Wars manchildren
>>64051656
That's legit one of my favourite films and I don't care if it's a meme. Also: Take Shelter, Bullhead (Rundskop) and Inside Llewyn Davis.
>>64051656
It's not that much better, redditor, both are flicks
>>64051656
>le ebin just like me maymay movie
Get some taste of something that isn't my cock, faggot
>/tv/: the movie hasn't been posted

You get out. Blackhat is one of the best movies mentioned in the thread so far. Go wallow in your IMDB filth.
>>64051656
Only God Forgives and Place Beyond the Pines are both better and literal masterpieces
>>64049410

Overrated shit.
>Blackhat
A movie nobody has seen can't by definition be a "classic".
>>64052172
Aight, no discussion that OGF is Refn godtier gift to humanity, but Cianfrance can suck a dick
(I cant forgive him for killing based gosling)
>>64052794
> A movie nobody has seen can't by definition be a "classic"
> Eraserhead
pick one
>>64052865
Blue Velvet is a classic.
Eraserhead is more of an hidden gem.
>>64052865
Lynch is the arthouse equivilent of capeshit. It is impossible for any film made by him to be "lesser known" or "hidden".
>>64052943
>new classics
>20 year old movie
inb4 "1995 was 20 years ago" replies
>>64053005
If you think that 20 years is a substantial amount of time then you need to grow out of your reddit diaper, millennial.
>>64052935
>>64052976
That's what I said. That's why it's a classic.
>>64049410
Define 'new'.
>>64051796
hello reddit!
After you watch it, it really makes all the other "romance" films look like childplay. I could rewatch it a thousand times and still be heartbroken at the end every single one of them.
I didn't care for The Place Beyond The Pines very much, but this is Cianfrance's masterpiece.
>>64053289
Boogie Nights is literally a glib fascimile of "classic" american cinema.
>>64050888

perfect movie
>>64049410
That movie was shit.
>>64052154
Wait are you serious? I thought it was a /tv/ meme. I downloaded it and it was actually the first movie that i couldn't watch til the end. Like i've watched some pretty bad flicks start to finish, but after like an hour and something of blackhat i just couldn't bare it anymore. I skipped forward to see if i would miss anything and then i had turn it off. One of the most boring and bad made movies i have ever watched. The characters, the dialog and the plot were extreamly bad and that shitty fucking shaky cam they had non-stop made it look so amateurish. I mean it's just a movie and everyone has different opinions, but for me this was one of the worst things i watched this year.
>>64053989
Shit plebs say.
That said, it requires certain level of knowledge in photo play, expressionism, postmodern complexities and pretty much Mann's body of work to appreciate it. Now please back to the Force Awakens thread
>>64052154
>>64054061
Lmao
What a bait
The Machinist
>>64054240
That's what a call a great poster.
Great movie too
>>64050867
definitely, if for no other reason than the fact its the only pynchon adaptation, and it was like 1000x better than it could have been
>>64052943
i will forever treasure the bank shootout...no music, just intense realistic shootouts. very few movies have captured the authenticity of a shootout in the streets like this one.. i know because i unfortunately lived in colombia during the late 80s and early 90s. constant shootouts all the time...Heat delivered that scene amazingly. it very much reminded me of a few
>>64053478
best soundtrack of all time for a movie. to me it feels like the movie was made around the soundtrack instead of the other way around. love it simply because of this
>>64054802
Good goy.
>>64050867
just no, shit don't count
>>64054574
I live in north Mexico and shit was intense by the start of the decade. It reminded me a lot of those times too
