I don't know, I don't typically watch most x-files episodes. I suppose I should. I tried to watch the first season and stopped because Scully was like "none of this shit is paranormal!"
Then I was thinking I didn't even care to watch it anymore because she dismissed everything as normal in spite of a mountain of evidence against her. She could have an alien shit on her head, a demon fuck her in the ass, and some gnome from some place steal all her belongings and somehow this was completely normal.

That is where it got tricky though,since his whole motivation was to find his sister they should've known that he would never work for them or share their ideals but you could argue that the influence of double agents like Deep Throat and Mr.X saved his ass and eventually skinner had a soft spot for him so he always had people looking out for him.
