Did kids like this special at the time?
I have a hard time imagining ANYONE enjoying it.
My 9 year old sister and 6 year old nephew loved Star Wars 7 but couldn't sit still to watch the old ones.

My wife's boyfriend used to watch it all the time growing up.

I watch it every year

Quality shit posting.

I just can't believe anyone involved looked at the end product and thought "Yep. That's good to go. That's a finished product."

What do you think helped give boba fett so much groundswell?

Because:
a). He was the only good thing to come out of the Holiday Special; and
b). Wasn't Fett in a deleted scene from the original Star Wars?

It wasnt made by Lucasfilm. It was made by TV people that have to make shit in a week.
TV in the 70s did not have digital effects or people who knew how to do sci-fi.
It was about getting ratings by slapping the name STAR WARS on the tv show. They didnt give a fuck about the quality because they new kids would fucking watch no matter what when the saw the words STAR WARS in TV Guide

No. He was developed after ANH finished filming, his original concept was a "Super Stormtrooper"

Fett was digitally added back in the 97 remaster for ANH in the deleted Jabbba scene
