critics love it because it's one giant exposition on white people being evil. there's a 10 minute scene where Samuel L. Jackson's character drags a white dude naked into the snow, rapes him, and then brags about it to the man's father before killing the old man. this has no context in the whole movie and seems to just be in it for the sake of it.
at the end of the movie, there is a voice-over narration of Jackson's character reading a letter from Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln thanks and congratulates Jackson's character for killing white people.
