What's that.
>>64017602
don't do it
spare yourself this crap.
To hate the characters at first then realize they aren't that bad.
To enjoy the direction of Edgar Wright even if it isn't as funny in an actual American action movie.
To shitpost on /tv/ about how you hated it, probably using terms like "millennials" and "generation Y".
Tofall in love.
Not the best Wright thing but still highly enjoyable.

hipsters
A great film that makes Redditors insecure
I can guarantee you the people who call it Reddit legitimately have never actually seen it and just judge it off the commercials they've seen of it
>>64017718
because it's a shitfest
it's a hipsterish movie with a style that just won't work.
characters aren't appearing for someone born prior to 1997
overall pleb/10
>>64017602
Twilight for boys.
Edgar Wrights worst work.
>>64017885
appealing*
i was an extra in this, spent two months on set, fun times.
>>64018162
Any stories?
>>64018162
How much of a dick was Edgar Wright?
>>64017923
that's not This is The End or the Worlds End or Pirates of the Carribean at Worlds End or whatever it's called
>>64017886
That's actually somewhat accurate now that I think about it.
>>64017602
You'll love it so much you'll be embarrassed, and then after a while you'll just accept it
>>64017748
Don't you mean Demon Hipster Chicks?
>>64018240
That movie was amazing dude.
>>64018240
The World's End was good though. Top-notch science-fiction drama, shame about the gags.
Hopefully you'll love it. I love it (minus a few cringe worthy scenes). One of very few movies that I can watch over and over again.

there were days that were really quiet and tense, they were over budget and shooting for longer than expected. i remember hearing that edgar threw apple crates at bill pope at one point, not sure over what.
i also remember edgar personally telling and AD to kick some extras off set cause he heard them talking shit about the movie inbetween takes lol
>>64017689
Watch the alternative ending once you've finished, OP.
>>64018162
Did you get to meet Lucas Lee?
>>64018368
fuckin rad, thanks for sharing
>>64018313
>>64018290
it was fine, but definitely at the bottom of his works for me. I enjoyed Spaced, Shaun, Scott, and Hot Fuzz infinitely more.
Actually, I'd place a Fistful of Fingers and that other cop short he made below Worlds End seeing as they weren't even really films/tv.
>>64018368
Wright seems like a bit of a dick in the Spaced features, but in an autistic director kind of way, not a general arsehole kind of way.
I think Nick Frost calls him "Edgar Got-To-Get-It Right".
>>64017885
I am born before 1997
I like (some) of the characters
Your argument is invalid faggot

Cool gay roommate > 5head drummer > colourful hair girl > cool guitarist > teen sister > annoying Asian qt > hipster bad guy > ex-girlfriend >>> Michael Cera > Young Neil
>>64018445
no I wasn't there for that set
I do also remember that the actress who played envy adams had her tampon string peeking out from under her dress during a take, pretty embarassing lol
>>64018496
that was the general consensus, he never conversed with any of the crew/extras except for the actors and ADs
Really wish they had used someone besides Michael Cera
/tv/ approved

hipster music movie with a try hard hipster video game appeal. Hipsters can't into video games to save themselves outside of the NES for le edge hipster appeal. The women are the best part about it.
essential plebcore
>>64018860
The only video game part that annoyed me was this scene.
It works better in the comic. He comes around the corner after Knives has met the band, they introduce him, she asks what he plays, he says, "Nothing, I just live here."
That's a better joke than a video game pun where someone gets to mention video games.
>>64019077
Lol that guy is such a pleb
>>64018705
oh yeah and I managed to nick this off the sex bobomb amp
Lots of "epic quirky" references that actively detract from the movie.
the movie itself is also just kinda... eh. Didn't like it as much as the comic. Not that I liked the comic all that much either but somehow the movie was worse.
>>64018743
>le I hate Michael Cera meme
I heard people talking about this film after they had watched it. This one cunt was mouthing off about how bad Cera was ... "In all his films he unbelievably gets the grill without even trying". When I pointed out he had to fight seven evil exes to "get the grill" I just got "Well he still sucked, he always does".
I really hope this isn't why you wanted someone other than Cera, Anon.
>>64017602
>videogame/comics
seriously, there is no better adaptation utilizing videogame/comics style
>fucking great visual comedy
sorry for link "Im superior youtuber who actually understand movies" but I find this special clip really interesting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FOzD4Sfgag
>imperfect adaptation of comics
I don't want to persuade you to read comics, you are not some kind of nerd, of course, however movie omit some important parts, particularly Ramonas character development.
>comfy movie
If you are not familiar with Wrights style, you should watch it.
It you are familiar with Wright style you know its awesome, and you should watch itbtw Wright would be far better SW director than JJ
This was a good song and Alison Brie is a qt

Excellent taste senpai, Best girl 2bqh. should have won.
>>64019077
That didn't annoy me, but all the Zelda sound effects did, especially because none of them were context-appropriate.
>item-get jingle when a door opens
I'll shit in your coffee some day, Wright, mark my words
>>64023702
I liked the music in the dream sequence because:
>1. Nintendo are historically cunts when it comes to this sort of thing.
>2. Edgar Wright or someone wrote the most sycophantic message, something like how it's a "lullaby to a generation".
>>64021410
>>64023462
>>64018279
It's one of the most fun movies I've ever seen.
Have you seen Speed Racer? If you liked that you'll probably like this?
It's a funny, charismatic, decent movie with a rabid hatebase because it was one of the first mainstream movies to have le epic video game references and places like /v/ were just starting to backlash against that shit.
>>64018705
>envy adams had her tampon string peeking out from under her dress
References
An okay movie
Some of the practical shots are pretty cool though, I like the bathroom shot where they physically move the set.
I still think Cera did the best he could, but he wasn't the best choice for Pilgrim.
Scott's sister is pretty hot.
Music is pretty good.
Mediocre comedy overall.
based jewish michael cera.

but isn't Scott a legitimately flawed character? And don't people regularly treat him like dirt? He's not even that great a bassist or very good at fighting.
