Reception among fans is largely negative. Kind of telling. You can see how people react to the film when the hype machine isn't working to the max.

I should note that original Star Wars never had wide theatrical release in Russia. More people saw the prequels than originals. Nevertheless Star Wars is the biggest sci-fi franchise in the country.
