He established his badassery pretty well. He fucking held a blaster bolt in the air for five minutes, while he was doing other shit. He has his own version of the force choke, and has a sith mind trick.
I love Adam Driver's performance, mask on and off. But I can see his voice and stuff being a subjective thing.
You could argue that him taking his mask off at the Han scene would have made a bigger impact, but then it's fighting alongside Han dying, so I think it's a bit much to cram those two moments together.

He'll be back in the next movie training or having completed his training like Giantchair said at the end, stronger (he wasn't supposed to be a super bad Vader yet at this point, is he even considered a Sith Lord?) and sporting his new Anakin scar. Maybe some cybernetic torso action, then he'll likely switch sides at some point or sacrifice himself to be redeemed.
I thought he was great. Could've used a bit more character development. Han, Rey and Fin too, so Han's death hit those two a little harder. Would've been cool to see Rey become more emotional and flirt with the dark side to beat him.
