What I never understood was why all lightsabers had a physical button on the side to switch it on. Would be all too easy to switch it on accidentally, or for a non-force user to wield it if they get their hands on one. After TPM I thought he was gonna be using it in AOTC, but instead he rebuilt the one Maul kicked down that chasm. I guess it was cause McGregor really liked that design.
