It's like everybody has these stages in life. First it's "love the armor, what a badass" then "lel killed by a blind man" until finally our opinion is more balanced. No doubt that Boba Fett was supposed to be a badass. He's genuinely awesome in ESB talking back to Vader and finding Han Solo. He was modeled after Clint Eastwood's spaghetti western characters. Thanks to his limited screentime each time we see him is a treat. As a supporting baddie he's perfect. Not sure what happened in ROTJ. At least we saw him using more of his gadgets I guess.
Not sure if his solo movie has been confirmed (and not just mentioned or proposed but like actually greenlighted and with a release year or something). I wonder what's his official status in the new canon. If anything I'd like to see him with fellow bounty hunters from ESB.

Jango was much more fleshed out as a character and got an even bigger spotlight than Boba. He even fought toe to toe with Obi Wan and killed several Jedi before finally getting taken down by Samuel L. Jedi.

Great character before the prequels ruined his mystery. He's a perfect example of less is more. He had the coolest suit and gadgets in the movie but we barely got to see him, each time he had a scene it was a huge treat and we wanted more. But we didn't get so much that we got tired of him or his effect wore off, we just got a taste and were left wanting more. It's basically like being cock teased by a 10/10 in a room full of average sluts. You bust your nut but can't get that cocktease out of your head.
