Marissa.

Personally it helped me realise that a life like that is shallow and would be unfulfilling for my type of personality.

My parents are wealthy. I mean't more in terms of living in Southern California with the heat and the freaks.

Why does /tv/ like this show so much? It's just Rich Teenager Problems:The Series.

Mainly nostalgia. Anon over 25 have an unnatural soft spot for it. It's hard to explain.
>>
>>63994682
I was in high school when it was a thing, mainly nostalgia desu.

Also, it is substantially better than other shows of its kind.
>>
>>63994682
It was one of the most sensible teenage shows of its era. If you experienced it you'l get it
>>
>>63994682
It was a weird show, as it was created by a nerdy Jew, with a self-insert character constantly quoting pop culture and listening to cool indie bands, the beta yet romantic archetype who eventually gets the hot cheerleader. He did the same thing with Chuck, which was a spy show for the sensitive geek crowd, raised on Weezer songs and video games. So while it had all the elements of the typical soap opera for an audience of teenage girls, it also had a satire element regarding plotplines AND genuine tenderness for its characters. It's a post-Whedon take on Beverly Hills.
