He is literally the most flawed character in star wars. Also his force visions are no where near what Yoda saw and it was also said that he was piloting for a few years. That being said he is a terribly written character.
Not to mention that he is deliberately tagged as a Mary Sue from the get-go when he was established as the Chosen One. Even then he gets all of his limbs cut off and immolated by a guy who shouldn't be anywhere near as powerful as him.

Once she starts Jedi training it absolutely has to be difficult for her at the very least. They can't just have her be perfect at everything because that would ruin her development as a character and make her training pointless.
Also it's pretty much required for headstrong characters to think they can do stuff on their own, but then they realize the power of friendship. The next two movies will probably deal with that too. The first movie hinted at her having issues with abandonment.
