It was SO EASY to make her competent. SO EASY to make her fight the good goys and cause them trouble.
I love how that scene in the trailers where she's walking through a corridor as if ready for action is the one where she gets captured by the good goys and surrenders like a bitch.
Also it is stupid that she (an ARMY captain) would know how to disable the shields of the planet (something only a highly qualified / high ranking security / technician would know.)
