I know this "Mary Sue" shit is anti-feminist shitposting but there's some truth to it. It all goes back to 70's Hong Kong cinema. Watch any old Angela Mao movie. She had the lithe body of an Asian trophy wife, no muscles, nothing, yet she can whup several guys' asses all at once. This became sort of a fetish in Hong Kong, a hot chick unrealistically kicking ass, then there were the hot hong kong chick spy movies like Black Cat, even Jackie Chan used Michelle Yeoh in Supercop, then the hot hong kong chicks with guns fighting hardcore thug chinese triads. But now the only difference is they can't be looked at as sexy anymore. They retain their femininity, yet you have to act like a beta white knight around them when they save a guy character's ass. It's not a fetish anymore, it's female empowerment and the women are looking fitter (daisy's legs damn). I don't feel intimidated by it.
