Carrie Fisher has no career
Mark Hamil is a well known voice actor
Harrison Ford still gets regular work

If that's true, that is pretty shit. I'd say Ford getting more makes sense, but Hamill getting ten times as much as Fisher is nuts, she did acting and said lines. Hamill just stood on a hill.

This.

Mark probably had reservations, but he's literally "one of us" and knows it would be a betrayal to the fans if he had said no and he would never be able to live it down. Luke is too important to not be in the trilogy, even though Lucasfilm said they'd write out the character if he declined.

Harrison doesn't give a shit, and probably would only do it for 50 million. He's also the most bankable name so they HAD to have him for the sequel trilogy to sell.

Carrie doesn't give a shit either but she's also not an asshole like Harrison.
>>
>>63936207
It would have sold without either, but Ford is more of a draw for sure.

New comers to big movies always get pittance because it's not like they're gonna turn down the role of their lives and dispute their pay.

Also they're not even famous enough (at all really) to have any kind of bartering leverage.

Hamill's been acting since though, granted most of his work has been voiceover work (he's the voice of joker for example practically everywhere except the nolan films).
Carrie Fisher has been off radar for quite a while, and she's guaranteed more work in the 8th and 9th films.
Ford is a big deal, and this is it for Han Solo.

Super happy for Mark Hamill and this trilogy.

Hamill did more off screen though, he was an advisor on the set/ in the writing room.
Hamill's special because he's actually a fanboy himself.
He's worth so much because he's pretty much the most sucessful V/A actor ever, and his acting career has cooled but it is still going. His most recent in person role was in the Kingsman movie. Plus the guy does TV appearances and TV and Videogame V/A work like it's going out of style
