/tv/ hates everything almost as much as /v/. It was a bit heavy on the original trilogy homage, but overall was very good. Much better than the prequels.
Anakin was absolutely a Mary Sue. Luke constantly needed other people to watch his back, like Obi Wan in the cantina and Han in the trench.

i would have been fine with rey if she was just good at mechanical shit, but suddenly she bests a sith lord in 1v1 combat 10 minutes after learning she has force powers

Luke is not a good a shot. Han easily outshoots him at the turret in the Falcon.
Luke doesn't actually get good until the Death Star battle, and he still needed Han to bail him out at the end.
