The "traitor!" stormtrooper was also Tom Cruise.

He was gesturing really wildly and had a glazed look in his eye, you could tell he came here because he just loved Star Wars. I don't really know how exactly the exchange went but Tom eventually leaped into the air and shouted "YES" while pumping his arm, like a shot a sitcom would end on. Then he bounded off to the costume trailer, knocking over a couple interns on the way.

The final scene is done in one take, but there were some parts when John got hit too hard and needed to stop that were edited out. He was exhausted at the end, he had to take a five minute breather. But Tom was already planning out the next 5 scenes he wanted to do, and he wrecked a good part of the set twirling the other stunt weapons around that he wanted to use."
