Impressive. Most impressive.

>>
>>63874629
Your statement is completely irrelevant

The first person bought up that they cost that it "probably cost them $400 million shilling" (It was 250, making the total budget 450).

The second stated that [the revenue] they made in toy sales was already around that figure before the movie was even released, meaning that bringing up the high cost doesn't mean much because they've already covered it.

Everyone knows revenue=/=profit. That's not what was being discussed. You sound butthurt as fuck that It's making a lot of money.

Movies will never make as much they used too.

It's interesting to compare current revenues to inflation-adjusted revenues of old movies but ultimately It's apples to oranges

There were far fewer movies out to see, movies tended to stay in cinema longer and people just went to the movies more in general.

I doubt any movie will ever beat Gone With the Wind, which holds a worldwide inflation adjusted amount of about $3.5 billion or something absurd.

Phantom Menace had a lower opening weekend than both Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith and yet made more money overall in its run than both did. And Avatar had a lower opening weekend than AOTC and ROTS as well and still beat the original Star Wars' record.

All TFA's opening box office slam shows is that Disney is good at getting people to see it at least once. What matters is how long it can keep up that same rate until it finally settles.
