Which did J.J. do better; Star Wars or Star Trek?

>Which did J.J. do better
that is like asking who won the special olympics. everyone fucking lost.
>star trek
You mean the movie where Captain Kirk gets his ass handed to him all the time and needs to constantly be bailed out by the crew. Oh and he still acts like tough shit after all that.
star wars
Star Trek

Star Trek > Episode VII > Into Darkness
All are mediocre, though.

THIS
JJ seems to struggle with the whole "original ideas" thing. I don't know why anyone was expecting epVII to be anything other than a plot-point-for-plot-point retread of epIV, after Into Darkness was a plot-point-for-plot-point retread of The Wrath of Khan.

The damage he did to Trek via the timeline reset is deeper and harder to fix. TFA was crappy but at least he didn't ruin the entire SW canon (EU doesn't count)
star wars since it felt like a star wars movie
star trek still felt more like a star wars movie
JJ is good at frantic action and adventure, which works for Star Wars which is pure escapist fantasy, but doesn't really work for Star Trek, which is more about slowly uncovering a cultural/moral/technical/political problem and slowly working out an intellectual solution rather than running around while shit blows up around you
