It'll be interesting to see the evolution because the dynamic that lead to the prequel date doesn't exist anymore, having been around then.
At first everyone who saw TPM kind of thought it was ok to boring but it took a few months before my circle actually started to admit to themselves that it sucked after we sat around discussing it, and especially when it came out on home video. Then when clones hit the entire house of cards collapsed and hating the prequels went mainstream. Most of my cicle never saw sith in theatres, including myself.
