So what other planets were destroyed by the Starkiller besidesCoruscantand possiblyNaboo?
>>63825617
a glib facsimile
>>63825635
FUCKKKKKK YOUUUUUUUU NIGGAAAAAAAAA
Was it confirmed to be those planets? Nobody mentioned anything about what those planets were or what they were called, so it could have been fucking anything. Also why were they so close to the Rebel base, and why didn't Snoke just kill the Rebel base? Did they just happen to pick the one system with the Rebel base on it, but miss the planet it was on?
What a shitty mess of a movie.
did they destroy the glib facsimile star system
Geonosis and Kamino
We gotta shit on the prequels as much as possible
GLIB
>>63825763
They didn't know where the rebel base was, simple as that. Also, they weren't that close to the destroyed planets, they were able to see the laser beams in the sky because they were fucking huge and red and shiny and shit
>>63825617
>>63825763
They didn't target any other then the Hosnian system which nobody gives a shit about anyways. Naboo and Coruscant are fine.
>>63825617
Who cares? None of the characters cared so why should I?
>>63825842
But the empire landed at the rebel base seconds after blowing up those planets.
>>63825842
Are you retarded? All of those planets were clearly within 0.1 AU of each other, you can see the debris of the planets (or moons). Is every planet in Star Wars just a few light hours away from each other or something or is the writing in this movie shit?
There are plenty of coruscant-like hive worlds, Taris (destroyed in KotOR) and Naar Shaada to name a few
>>63825962
>or is the writing in this movie shit?
Bingo.
>>63825962
This must be a jj Abrams thing, the same thing happened in star trek when they destroyed Vulcan.
Abrams doesn't really get "space".
>>63826072
Only the Hosnian system, so planets no one cares about, got destroyed.
>>63825617
Dude, Naboo isn't close to Coruscant.
>>63826040
Taris was not destoryed, it was glassed but the planet survived. In fact, in the official TFA visual guide, it shows the Taris senator
>>63826171
Yes by destroyed I meant the city of Taris not the planet itself
Strange to hear that they would make such an obscure reference though
>>63825962
>>63825842
>>63825763
>>63825617
All those planets were in the same solar system retards. Yes JJ Abrams cannot into space but he's not THAT stupid. It was the Hosnian system, a donut steal system unrelated to previously existing planets. Also the beam went through hyperspace which is why it was able to reach a different solar system.
And the reason the republic was based in a random system and not Coruscant is that to distance itself from the Empire and old republic, they decided to move to a different planet every few years.
>>63826350
>they decided to move to a different planet every few years.
did I missed that in the movie or it wasn't there nad I am supposed to just know it?
>>63826350
Where did they explain this in the movie f.a.m?
Because no one cares that it's in some book.
>>63825617
Cuhrooskn?
>>63826220
Well it's part of TOR, which holds a strange position in the new canon as it is ongoing. Plus it appeared in the Tarkin book is is explicity part of the new canon
>>63826350
actually no. The starkiller base and the Hosnian system are pretty much on opposite ends of the galaxy. Sorry.
>>63826350
Of course they were in the same system idiot, thats why it makes no sense why the resistance wasn't destroyed. They should have been killed with all the rest of the people.
And good job pulling shit out of your ass.
>>63826461
Natalie Portman looks really uncomfortable in that take.
>>63826411
>>63826414
They didn't explain this, they just said they targeted the Hosnian system/seat of the senate. This info comes from supplementary sources
>>63826414
>>63826411
I'm guessing its more star wars shit you have to learn outside of the movies. For example, Slave 1 is never called that in the movies (at least not the OT, haven't seen the PT in so long I don't remember)
>>63826538
yeah but the name of the ship is not very important , the Republic on the other hand..
So, does the starkiller have a propulsion system?
Because it seems to drain the sun it's orbiting just to get two shots. Once that sun is spent, that weapon is just a planet with a big hole in the middle.
>>63826595
>Literally donut steel
>>63826592
the Republic are explained in the movie
just not 30 minutes worth of boring exposition like in the shit prequels
>>63826538
Nah, having to learn important points outside of the movie just means they fucked up a bit in telling the story within the movie. They got so carried away with references and pandering that they didn't explain a lot of information that anyone that was paying attention needed.
We also don't get enough info because the pacing of the film is bad, which also meant that a lot of the set pieces didn't get time to really establish and become memorable.
Jakku is good. The middle is a bit of a blur. The end is completely anticlimactic.
>>63826502
>Reading comprehension
>>63826727
How are they explained? The balance and power of the galaxy is completely overlooked.
JJ hoped no one would remember that the rebels won at the end of Jedi.

>We post predictions for the next Star Wars movieskylo redeems himself by stopping the new deaths stars super beams with the force long enough for people to escapewe never see the other knights of ren cause Kylo killed them to prevent anyone taking his place or under snoke's commandluke will not dier2d2 will get destroyed and there will be a mock funeral for him
Now your turn
holy shit people are retarded
the lasers can move at hyperspace speeds
all those planets were in the same system
all but one was destroyed which is why han etc can see them being destroyed
the reason that planet wasn't destroyed was kylo ren wanted to recover the droid and map to luke
