The thing that was really missing in this film was hammy campness. The first three films are fucking filled to the brim with it and that's why they're so good. The reason Revenge of the Sith is the best of the prequels is because Ian McDiarmid was allowed to go full "Raul as Bison" hammy, which made it far more fun to watch. Seriously, the only thing people truly remember from the prequels are the lightsaber fights and Sheev being awesome.
