It was weird, without the mask his voice sometimes went from sounded strong and very reminiscent of his voice with the mask and modulator while at other times he started sounding like a huge punk

That's the moment we should not only have finally been aware of his humanity, but also that his is Solo's son, and actually just a child.
Telling us that he was his son right at the start and then making him remove the mask and cry to mama right after was stupid and made him just an unbelievable angsty edgy teenager fan fantasy for the whole movie, and remove ANY impact to the scene when he kills Solo.
Also, it's almost comical (if not saddening) how they literally wait for Ms Mary Sue Rey to come and watch as Solo dies because if the protagonist ain't there then it ain't relevant.

I feel bad for him because you really can't control what kind of face you're born with. I'm guessing Adam Diver was one of those kids who had a kind of misshapen head when he was born, and the doctors did their best to squish it into the right shape while his bones were still soft but there was only so much they could do.
His face is kind of asymmetrical in the same ways that Harrison Ford's is, which is probably why they cast him, but he is way more asymmetrical than Ford, and Ford's asymmetry really didn't start emerging until maybe the last 10 years.
