Why do you never or rarely ever go see movies at movie theaters? Crazy costs nowadays? Annoying People? Little/No friends and you don't wanna go alone? Just not ever in a hurry? Nearest theater is pretty far to get travel to? Just like being cozy in your own little awesome home theater setup at home or even just your comfy room with the basic small tv/monitor?
Are theaters really dying or is that a myth because I mean I rarely do it myself.
People eating food in the cinema, fat people in public make me sick. I also can't stand the smell of popcorn.

The constant commercials while I'm at the theater. They play commercials if you're early, the previews are basically glorified commercials, and then they have ads and shit everywhere. They might as well pay me to go at this point.

The only movies I like to watch on the big screen are Michael Bay movies. They are pleasing to watch with the pro-military, explosions and half naked women.
I've transcended cinemas.
I know longer need to physically watch a film to form my opinion on it.
Price mainly. I only go on 5 dollar Tuesday's and I still do a double take on my wallet. I really don't even go to view movies, I go mainly be with someone. Last two times I went were with friends and a date. I never been alone. Why spend 5 dollars on entertainment alone you can get for free sometime else

I didn't go to the movies for 3 years because I developed an irrational fear of bedbugs. Now I found a theater that has leather seats that make me feel better mentally.

For me it's 50% the film and 50% the popcorn, free refills are awesome so I pretty much just make it lunch or something
I avoid the previews by doing this as well, there's no fighting for seats if it isn't packed
Going with friends means it's like we rented out most of the theater
It's also cleaner when it's not as busy
And the parking is easier
And a bunch of other shit
Cost isn't much of a factor, time is. That and I don't like having to slap some kids around and their mom so they keep quiet and other nonsense. A movie theater isn't daycare. Oh an don't bring your fucking baby.

The prices don't bug me and I have people I could go with. It's mostly that I like to be comfortable while I watch movies and I hate obnoxious people during movies that won't shut up and overreact when something stupid happens. And I have been very vocal in the past when someone has a crying baby in the theater. Fucking assholes. Rarely is there a movie that I'm dying to see and want to see it in theaters. If I do I usually wait a few weeks for crowds to die down. Less chance of being shot too.
