It's a copy of ANH but a worse version of it. Every scene they copied they did worse too.
I mean seriously, imagine A New Hope without any of the quiet moments like Ben and Luke talking, Luke reflecting on the recent events with the twin stars, the falcon on its way to destroyed alderaan, the falcon on its way to yavin iv, etc.
Then imagine the poor directing choices, such as how Poe flies in and flawlessly blows up death star 3 without any troubles, whereas the trench scene in ANH had a shit ton of build up, tons of death, a long foreboding countdown on both the Empire's end and Luke's end as he approached the end of the trench, and Vader getting stopped by Han right before he blasted Luke. That whole scene screamed tension, and the death planet star electric boogaloo 3 didn't have any of it.

Look, I disagree that Rey is a Mary Sue, because I think her control of the force will be explained later, but Luke was: immature, impatient and envious (of Han, mostly). He also was a bit rude due to these flaws. And we see him working and improving himself during the OT.
Rey is already a balanced character, but she had to grow up fast and learn to take care of herself since a young age. So her only flaw in this movie, was her unwillingness to move forward, which she succeeds in the end.
