Non star-wars thread coming through
What did /tv/ think of Whiplash?
I re-watched it first time since it came out in the theaters just now
I fucking loved it, probably my favourite movie, fantastic performances all round.
Pity Miles went on to do Fantastic 4 and possibly bombed his career

>"A WHIPLASH FOR THE CENTURY KID....COMEON!!"
really?

Miles already had a bombed career because he's not very talented.
See also "Scent of a Woman." Baller performance from Pacino, made better because he's yelling at a cypher for two hours. Chis O'Donnell didn't do shit after that movie, either.

I fucking loved this movie, it put me on a high for like a week. I still listen to the soundtrack pretty often actually.
A better star wars movie than episode 7
Weakest best picture nomination, and the fact that Gone Girl wasn't nominated and this was is offensive.

I disagree.

I thought he did great in Whiplash, probably just needs proper direction and a good script IMO, most of other shit he's been in is trash regardless of his performance.
Noted on Scent of a Woman, i'll watch it sometime this week

Me too breh. I keep searching for jazz pieces like Caravan or Whiplash but all the suggestions I find online are nothing like it. It's all some mellow saxophone solo accompanied by light drums.
