Here's the real question: Does Episode VII warrant a Plinkett review?
most definitly
Please god yes
Ahh yes, Reddit Letter Media!
The movie "critics" for people who don't really watch movies because they are "too busy" playing video games and watching animu.
But hey, LE STAR WARS PREQUELS SUCK XDDD right?
>>63774845
Ooh, so bitter.
>>63774845
RLM aside, the prequels are pretty bad
Mike will probably like it but he will say its a rehasj
but he likes some rehashes like T2 and JW
>>63774778
No, because they'll whitewash it and pretend it's perfect, the fucking hacks.
>>63774778
RLM staying relevant warrants it.
>>63774896
The ironic part is that even though it's a rehash of ANH it's missing the good parts of ANH and all the good stuff is stuff that's new. Ren is a good villain of a different type than Vader. The music in ANH was better. The Death Star in ANH was more climactic.
They'll say it was fun but just a rehash. It looked like it had heart but all it did was copy something with heart. Then in the last ten minutes it'll become about how it's a metaphor for our post-modern culture or some shit.

>Ren is a good villain
weak ass teenagers make good villains these days?
>>63774845
Post 'em boys
>>63775102
Yes because they're believeable characters
>>63775189
>stopping lasers with your hand is "believeable"
The new Star Trek is looking like it will make for better nitpicking, maybe even Colo fish will agree with Plinkett this time.
>>63775272
People kept mocking that trailer even when it was over
I dont even think its a Star Wars vs Star Trek thing, i think the crowd just thought it looked awful
>>63775238
Vader did it.
>>63775753
He deflected lasers with his hand.
Most of Plinkett's biggest problems were resolved.
-The characters were memorable. If you ask someone after the film to describe Rey, Finn or Kylo without describing their looks, they absolutely wouldnt have a problem. Look at all the conversation going on now.
-The story. It would probably get strife for being a rehash but the really did away with the complexity of the prequels and the 'multiplying endings'
Oh and there was a clear protohgarnest.

No reason to stop them. No reason to ever stop them unless you're an edgy showoff.
Probably not. It's pretty damn inoffensive.
>>63774778
it definitely could, but they'll just give it a half in the bag, maybe a little plinkett short in addition to that
the plinkett format doesn't really work for movies that just came out in theaters and they'll have to do SOMETHING, and doing a plinkett after a half in the bag would be redundant.
>>63775867
and practical effects
>>63775818
And that's more believable?
>>63775992
Regardless, believable is not synonymous with good. Leave the goal posts in place, sir.
>>63776165
Not hard to do that when you're playing tetherball by yourself.
>>63774845
fuck off colo claw fish
