>Force Awakens, directed by Abrams, began showing at 7 p.m. in thousands of theaters, drawing a heavily male audience (71 percent)
>71% male audience
But how? The media has been telling us for years that women love "nerd culture" just as much as men.
>>63773916
I'd stab her with my lightsaber
>>63773916
They lied.
That percentage should go down a bit over the next week. I don't think anyone has ever disputed that most of the "hardcore" nerds are guys (specifically, white virgins).
>Prerelease tracking suggests Force Awakens will earn $180 million-$220 million range for the weekend. Many believe it will easily beat this summer's Jurassic World ($208.8 million) to score the biggest domestic opening of all time; by just how much is the big question.
JAMES CAMERON ON SUICIDE WATCH
>>63773916
Reports are coming in that black males, women, and interracial couples (but only black guys with white women, not white guys with black women or asian guys with white women or white women with mexican guys or italian guys with jamaican women or eskimo guys with quadroon women) have skyrocketed in attendance!
According to the latest Huffington Post survey, black on black shootings have dropped 84% since the release of The Force Awakens, and black males have been reported leaving theaters speaking in a heavily British accent.
Women have also been seen fixing cars and punching random men in the face after seeing the film.

droid, please.
>>63773916
My girlfriend told me, "Let's not go to the opening night, let's wait a week to see it. I don't want to sit down next to some fat guy carrying a toy Millenium Falcon who starts playing with his penis as soon as I sit next to him."
lel, I imagine a lot of girls are doing the same thing, they want to avoid sitting next to fat virgin guys.
Will It be the first movie to break unadjusted $1 Billion domestic (Which would make it #9 adjusted)

>JAMES CAMERON ON SUICIDE WATCH
And he hasn't even started to shoot any of the Avatar sequels.
>>63774059
I'm sad this is happening. I'm hoping the general consensus is disappointment at lack of potential.
>>63774230
Did you go without her or stay home like a bitch?
>>63774096
You know boyega has an American accent in the film right?
>>63773916
Who knows, 71% male might be a huge improvement. Do you know what the prequel demographics were like?
>>63774403
Shhhh
>>63774299
He's still following the cocaine trail out of his 10,000 square foot money maze he built in his basement.
Women only pretend to care about this shit because no one was giving them attention
>>63773916
How did they get that number, did they do a survey?
this number is based on the sex of the person associated with the debit or credit card used to purchase the tickes
>>63774059
Jurassic World made just over half what Avatar did.
>>63774230
Your girlfriend sounds awful.
>>63774755
My mate is standup comedian, he often hes work to tell jokes at weddings and what not, he said females in the audiance are the absolute fucking worst people that make him hate his job, they shriek the loudest at his jokes with out even understanding them or what the punchline is
>>63774059
Doesn't matter the drop off week two is going to be huge and this shit won't break 2B
>>63774871
Article says it was a survey exit poll
>>63774230
Anon, take the hint. She wants to break up with your fat ass.
>only 50m
and people thought it would beat Avatar
>>63774871
>>63774850
it will be adjusted to account for biases in whatever methodology they use to collect data. the figure is likely very close to the reality.
>>63774922
I highly doubt that.
>>63774364
>>63774903
Found the fat nerds who diddled themselves in the theatres.
>>63773916
Women have jobs to go to in the morning.
>>63774920
>Night of release in Australia/Korea/Europe
>Browning/r/StarWarslooking for videos of cam footage
>There was some chicks that were just uploading pictures of the star wars dresses or clothes they were wearing to see the movie in
Thankfully they were all getting downvoted
>>63775007
People act like 2B is easy when only 2 movies have ever done it and the next closest is 300+ million short and that came out in the summer.
>>63773916
>The media has been telling us for years that women love "nerd culture" just as much as men.
No it hasn't, you fucking weirdo.
>>63774900
Are you that dumb? For opening weekend Jurassic World destroyed everything.
>>63773916
I guess women didn't find the nigger attractive. If you had channing tatum type in finn's role. I bet you would had more women turn out.
>>63775089
overall it came nowhere close to avatar, doubt this will either
>>63775132
Channing Tatum as Finn and Alison Brie as Rey.
Take my fucking money.
>>63775089
Nah the first Avengers made pretty much the same opening weekend bra.
>>63774403
Why I thought he was an imperial
>>63773916
Women don't like Star Wars.
They didn't cast a woman to bring in girls, they cast a woman to make men more tolerant of females.
Deal with it shitlord.
y do they pretend
that's because 71 percent of people are male.
it would be 50 percent but the domestic violence epidemic has thrown the ratio out of whack.
>>63774059
The thing about Avatar is that it was a true rarity that barely lost money in it's second week.
Jurassic World dropped by like 50% for week two, so will Star Wars. Which is still huge and not to be sneezed at.
Avatar dropped by 1%. It's nearly unheard of.
Few films in the modern era can match this sort of performance. You get the once in a blue moon honest to goodness crowd pleasers like Avatar or Titanic and The Sixth Sense (which both made MORE in their subsequent weeks) very rarely.
>>63776587
her pov videos are excellent.
>>63774429
Star Wars was still for manchildren nerds back then.
Removing the child demographic would probably leave you with 90% male virgins.
>>63776587
I love boobies desu
>>63776100
>replacing one wooden actress with another
No thanks
>nerd culture
There is nothing more misserable and cringe inducing than watching normies try to pass off pop culture as niche; the facade of depth and exclusion is just blatant and ignorant. It just feels gross and makes you want to disassociate and be contrarian.
>>63776614
thx 4 d laffs anon
>>63774230
>I don't want to sit down next to some fat guy carrying a toy Millenium Falcon who starts playing with his penis as soon as I sit next to him."
She was talking about you
>>63774320
The only disappointment here will be yours. This movie is already a hit.
>>63774230
>tfw I sat next to some old dude by himself who kept breathing heavily
It's my future isn't it?
>>63773916
>>63776827
Yeah, Star Wars is faaaaaar from being "nerd culture". Heck, the reason it holds so much importance is because its appeal is so broad.
>>63777212
Very broad, children around the world love Star Wars.
>>63773916
Because most girls brought all 3 of their boyfriends
>>63773916
I went with my sister, and she made the same comment: out of the 2-300 people there, there were perhaps around 5 girls.
One of them was wearing that tight r2d2 dress you may have seen around. I seriously questioned whether she liked the film, or just wanted to wear a pushup bra and that ridiculous skin tight dress. I wasn't beefing though, she looked fine.
>>63777459
is your sister hot?
>>63777486
I plead the fifth
>>63777486
Ye but gives terrible head
Are there any sales figures yet?
I was expecting it to best out Avengers and Grand Theft Auto V to 1 billion.
>>63777486
fukken source family
>>63774230
I think a lot of people feel this way if they aren't gigantic SW fans. You know the place will be packed and nothing is worse than having to sit next to an autistic, fat neckbeard nerd. I mean, just look at yourself in the mirror, does that sound appealing at all to you?
>>63777528
it will make a shitload, but the estimates for the opening weekend currently has a low-end of $180 million. it is front-loaded and will have pretty mediocre word-of-mouth considering the level of hype.
nonetheless out-of-touch normies and fanboys who can't believe that it's as disappointing as it is will probably keep it from falling off too much. I'd argue that it's impossible for it to make more than $2 billion and it could even fall short of Jurassic World's total because the audience is less diverse.
>>63774922
If you think this movie will drop off after a week you are retarded. Christmas break is starting, families will be going together, and the movie is actually good. For once we werent let down. Word of mouth is going to drive revenue so fucking hard for so fucking long.
>>63773916
Main male character is not attractive. If only Oscaar was the main star.
