Well considering the main battle they won happened on a bridge, the majority of fighters survived and actually died of dehydration, starvation, pneumonia; the fact the princess he screws later was a baby when Wallace was leading his rebellion, and the fact that the Scottish nobles were really the heroes and Wallace got alot of Scots killed, if that jimmies your whistles and all.
