I really liked her for the first half of the film. Her lonesome scavenger life reminds me of Miyazaki heroine. I also didn't mind how tech-savvy she was as it made sense considering that's what she did to survive. It's when she started learning the force without any training and beating Kylo in a fight that I had to roll my eyes a little.
