Oh wow, is he the only person in the story so far to legitimize a bastard? Books or show.

I still wonder why he named Ramsay his heir. He openly admits he's a little shit. Even if he didn't want to kill him, couldn't he just force him to take the Black, or just give him some money on the condition he stay across the Narrow Sea forever? Even after he openly sides with the Lannisters, he seems to only tolerate how much of a shit Ramsay is.

He seems otherwise a pretty clever dude, why leave the obvious liability and raise him to lord of Winterfell?
