The chemistry between Luke and Han didn't work because they cheered at each others, it worked because of everything that led to that. Character development, you might want to look it up. You can't just put two characters in a same room for 2 minutes and expect the audience to feel they're best friends now, no matter how much they smile"Oh no I don't want any of this jedi stuff. Like, I don't mind having a STRUNNG WIMMIN WHO DON' NEED NO MAYN type of character. But it has to be believeble. You can't have some nobody, even if they have a Jedi lineage, suddenly awaken their powers to the point where they can beat someone who has trained for years and years to be a master Jedi/Sith warrior.
That is stupid. It is stupid as fuck. It is blatantly clear they are trying to push forth some shallow pro-feminist message of strong female characters. But the fact that Rey was able to instantly become Jedi strong doesn't make her a strong female character. It makes her a goddamn Mary Sue.
