What does /tv/ think of The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension?

I loved it, 98% of /tv/ never watch it.

Cool! what about the comics? i've looked but no luck. Your favorite line maybe?
Liked it a lot when I saw it years ago but afraid it doesn't hold up so I haven't seen it since.
Life Aquatic is better desu

The comics are fucking hard as fuck to get when i was interested.
The last i read had Perfect Tommy in love with a furry clone...or something like that...
But the novel was pretty good, its a shame that it didn't became a series in that format.
It's a good movie to put on with a group of potential friends you've never watched movies with before.

it's pretty unique and can be appreciated as kitsch, but i can't say it's a good movie

Same director or writer or something? i was interested in The Life Aquatic for awhile anyways so..

Yeah I just would've minded anything extra from the lore afterwords. Buckaroo has to be one of my favorite movies so any light would've been nice.

Wes "referenced" the ending in Life Aquatic

Oh cool, the ending with them walking through the storm drain has to be one of my favorite endings so I would love the throwback,
What about your thoughts on the movie?

Cheesy 80s cult flick, encapsulates that decade very well
Well personally I thought it kind of had something that stood out though. Idk maybe i'm just favoring it too much but o.k.
It is hipster nigger loving dog shit.
