As much as I love that movie, it's fucking awful.
Best is either Halloween or The Thing. Favorite is The Thing and Prince of Darkness. PoD made me fucking terrified of homeless people. Every night I look out my window next to my computer and expect to see a few homeless people staring up at me.

I think The Fog was underwhelming.
It has a GREAT setting, but I felt it just wasn't good. Mediocre, really.
Still, I love the setting.
As a fan of pretty much every thing he did from the 70s-90s, I'm going to say The Thing.

I agree, I was kind of let down by it. It wasn't horrible but it didn't seem as quality as some of Carpenter's other movies. Great score though.
