ITT: Films plebs rate 10/10, wannabe-patricians rate 1/10, true patricians rate 10/10
Who's patric?
I rate it 9/10
Too violent to be a 10/10
Mad Max Fury Road
>>63684715
This is a deceptively intelligent question. Probably original Star Wars.
>>63684715
>>63684776
No. This is a film only liked by the wannabe IMDB crowd. Too slow and sparse for plebs. Too much of a fedora tipping IMDB video game ADHD fest for anybody with real art film experience.
>>63684831
LOVE
>>63684789
>ITT: films which are 10/10 as long as you aren't trying to be contrarian
>>63684715
Dodgeball
Tropic Thunder
Hellraiser series
Anime
Brian De Palma movies

>>63684831
Again, a film liked ONLY by the middlebrow. Adding Drive as another example of this. Too "art" for plebs, too dumb for trained cinema disciples.
>>63684789
>Probably original Star Wars
A fair score would be 6/10 for that.
DEAD
>>63684715
>>63684789
I agree with these so far.
>>63684904
>comedies
>10/10
>>63684789
star wars is objectively a bad movie
>>63684857
>wannabe-patricians
>>63684831
this is the opposite
>>63684904
>brian de palma
My nigger.
>>63684831
I thought that most people didn't like Interstellar. It's boring as fuck and doesn't really go anywhere with its premise. It's just some people fucking around with space stuff and then it's over.
>>63684960
meh this film was so bad compared to band of brothers which i watched before that it was all i could think about.
Seeing all these major actors, who weren't as big at the time but especially vin diesel made me think of fast and the furious for half the movie.
>>63684960
After seeing all these war movies, SPR seemed pretty bland to me, honestly. Entertaining, sure, but I would give it a 6 or 7.
Better than The Thin Red Line though.
>>63684715
>>63685135
>Better than The Thin Red Line though.
AHHAHAHAHHAHAH CHILD OF IMDB DOESN'T UNDERSTAND ART AND POETRY
LMAO
>>63684977
Why are 77 posters always retards?
>>63685179
Here is the wannabe-patrician.
TRL is among Malick's worst.
>>63684960
The landing scene is literally GOAT for war movies, but everything else is pretty generic
>>63685195
It's his fourth best movie after The New World, Tree Of Life and To The Wonder but even if what you're saying was true, Malick's worst is still better than everything Spielberg has ever made.
>>63685195
It really isn't, but whatever.
>>63684751
THIS. I had a long debate with a wannabe and he finally agreed with me on it. Only thing he had the edge on was strong critique on the soundtrack, which made sense. Something a little more electronic would have probably been better. Not like dubstep style, but analog keyboards and shit I guess. He's the music buff not me.
But also pic related. Maybe not a 10/10, but a cool, pleasantly weird movie. Wannabe patricians on /tv/ say it's shit.
Pulp Fiction is more of a 4/10
>>63685590
legit 5/10
>>63684845
>fedora tipping IMDB video game ADHD fest
What did he mean by this?
>>63685668
Putting as many buzzwords as possible is the new /tv/ criticism form.
The more you're able to put, the shittier the movie.
citizen kane is a film that plebs rate 5/10, wannabes rate 7/10, and trupats rate 10/10

Film plebs rate 1/10, wannabe-patricians rate 10/10, true patricians rate 1/10
>>63684831
One of the most wasted potential films I've ever seen
>>63685561
>Donnie Darko
Fuck it, came here to post this.
>>63685646
Legit 7/10 though mate, it's a fun flick. 5/10 is something you barely made your way through, Run All Night is a 5/10.
>>63685892
This guy gets it. 5/10 isn't good, it's watchable. Forrest Gump is a 7/10, watchable and fun, same as Groundhog Day.
>>63685561
Aren't the Theatrical Cut and the Director's Cut for this movie vastly different? It could maybe explain why some people hate it (I don't know which one I've seen but it was 6/10 in my opinion).
>>63684715
>ITT people who are afraid of being plebs because they enjoy pleb shit.
>>63685561
>He's the music buff not me
He's got shit taste then, that soundtrack was amazing.
Boyhood.
come at me faggots
>>63686002
It was amazing and well done, but the argument is: was it the most suitable possibility for the atmosphere?
IMO yes. But my friend just knows so much more than me about music and he is even talented in it.
>>63686056
Really? Did that movie give you anything? Was it:
A: A breathtaking new take on growing up in a white suburb?
B: A thoroughly enjoyable movie experience?
It wasn't, it was a dull already told story.
>>63686199
More like 1/10, 1/10, 10/10
>>63686199
has there ever been a shittier movie with so many famous actors in it?
>>63687936
Batman & Robin
>>63686002
This
The soundtrack made it great

Nice trips/
This is all so high concept.
>>63684864
For like ~20 years after its release, maybe
No pleb has heard of it nowadays
>>63685981
second worst directors cut behind the special editions, turns a great weird little time travel film into an overexplained mess of a religious film.
>>63691180
wot, its a pretty popular pleb movie, every college student wanna be patrician has seen it, wanna be as in basically just a film pleb, there should be only 2 categories really.
>>63685195
>Malick's worst
Is still better than anything Spielberg has directed or produced
>>63691180
are you fucking kidding me lmao
i would honestly say its top 10 most popular movies in teenage circles
