Mobile games are quick short play games that don't require a lot of attention, are not story driven and are easy to drop at any moment. Bejewel, Tetris , Candycrush, etc. You also have some ported games from the console, example would be Final Fantasy, that are for mobile but I don't know if women play it, so meh.
Mobile is a great market for these types of games that are played more by women then men. Not to say that men don't play those either, they're simply played more by men.
Console game are more lengthy, story and mechanically driven and are played more by men. Women also play them and there's nothing wrong with that either.
Mobile games demand a more condensed play while you have to dedicated more time to playing console games. The problem is that there is no women oriented console games. The example they gave on the show, Journey, is not female targeted. The game is unisex, making it possible for both sexes to join in. There is no hidden conspiracy stopping companies refusing to make games.
Whenever people talk about games, they talk about something you can play for hours. That's like someone telling you that they watch 5 minutes videos on youtube from time to time and that they watch movies and are a cinema expert.
