This guy was a living saint. Like they just don't make 'em like this enough. He was devout (a minister!) but not judgemental or intolerant. He didn't agree with things like homosexuality, but he still felt the best way to treat with someone like that was with love and kindness.
Guy was a paragon of American virtue. Honest, forthright, mild mannered and true to his values, didn't start shit but wasn't afraid to stand up for what he believed in when the situation warranted it.
