The point of it?
Male and female relationships I guess. Like broadly where is the line drawn, that kind of thing. Like why do you not want to fuck your mom or why does your mom want to fuck you or why does your mom want to clone your dad for you to grow into your dad and fuck you, those sort of topics.

Someone in Australia who was doing a popular radio show about quizzing the population watched this movie and asked Australia if it was okay to have sex with a clone of your child, or along those lines.
Was pretty funny.

Fuck I just realized at the beginning she was pregnant with son of the clone.
That scene with the dinosaur being buried hit me hard.
And to answer your question OP, I think it's a film aimed at questioning what barriers should be put on love and romance. Is it morally "ok" to be in love with what is essentially your child if it's genetically the man you fell in love with?
>>63626116
As long as you make sure you know it's not meant to be an incest flick, yeah.

That and addressing the issue of human cloning. Cases like Rebecca's and that daughter who gave birth to her mother's clone are bound to happen.
>>63626669
There's a couple things at work here. The theory is that the reason why we don't breed with our close genetic relatives is because there's a deep rooted psychological block because nature knows it would only perpetuate passing down poor genes or improve the risk that inferior genetic traits that lessen survival would emerge. In this case, given that women don't undergo any permanent physical or psychological change after birth, it would not seem irrational to fuck your child given that genetically he is 100% not related to you.
Then there's the psychological aspect of raising a child. There is probably deep rooted brain chemistry shit that imprints a mother onto a child. That child acknowledges you as a mother and for their growth clings onto that individual, which means pure genetic disconnect or not, it would probably be harmful in the psychological long-term for the mother and child to have sex in this case.
If the child was raised completely separate from the mother that is where the question would be most challenging.
