Great horror movie? The only effective scene was the Jack-in-the-box monster, it was genuinely unnerving to watch it move around and clap when the elves came to get it.
Everything else sucked. The characters weren't nearly as assholish as they could have been to deserve their deaths and they weren't even developed. The gingerbread men felt like they were just there for kid appeal. None of the toys were scary or funny, and just felt like a slightly more professional version of Demonic Toys. The ending felt like it was going to be pretty ballsy before "oh no one actually died" shit.
