i had to chose between Youtube Red and a RT subscription for this shit?

People are going to be so fucking disappointed the way they're hyping themselves up. Say it's on par with Star Trek 09, which was a fine movie but hardly enough to live up to the hype TFA is getting. It probably won't be Phantom Menace 2.0, but people are alreayd deciding it will be the greatest thing ever, even though it will just be a run-of-the-mill JJ Abrams blockbuster.

Title II, Article 3, Chapter XII, Paragraph H

"It is our duty to ensure that the film in question, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", receives no false reviews until all incorrect reviewers can no longer be controlled. Therefore, we must erect a blockade on all digital reviews, truths or falsehoods alike, until the film has reached $3 Billion USD globally. By accepting this paragraph as a portion of the document in whole, you accept all potential legal obligation and potential outcome from our legal team and their proper response to terminating the contract signed. Please refer to your Disney™ brand "Donald Duck and the Life-Ruining Lawsuit" cartoon for more details on this matter.

If you want to actually bait people, use the Tomato-Meter sponsored by Duracell™

Also, don't bash the movie that much, even if it sucks, RottenTomatoes would never give such a bad consensus. Be subtle.
>>
>>63601199
Problem is, movies evolved. It's like they have a formula (pump enough money into it) to make a movie at least decent. Also Episode I and II set the bar for bad SW movies, so as long as it isn't as bad as those, people will still praise it as the best thing that could possibly happen to humanity.

I love Star Wars. And, on the one hand I have certain expetations from this movie. I do not expect it to be second coming of Christ, but I strongly belive it will be good.
On the other hand, if it turns out to be below average, or eaven bad, I don't care that much. It sucks, but it is not like this franchise is sin-free, so this one would be first in line of bad SW stuff.
>>
>>63600789
yes i thought it was hilariously unfunny too

at least try next time OP
>>
Anyone who thinks that either this will be better than empire or worse than the prequels is delusional imo. Disney is smart enough not to make anything that bad but the people working on TFA arent talented enough to top the original or empire. It will be good but its not going to be iconic.

To be perfectly honest.
I just watched both Phantom Menace and Episode IV for the first time and they weren't that different from each other. Sure, IV was better but not by much.
It's boring pew pew shit for children to be frank and The Force Awakens will be just as mediocre.
>>
>>63600617
>only puts fans and audiences to sleep

CALLED IT FUCKING CALLED IT!!!

They didnt shoot it, edit it, wirte it, or anything like star wars and they made a marvel movie.

worst thing you can do is bore the audience with star wars.
>>
>>63604532
>Look at Godzilla. People were pumped. But after a few weeks, people thought it was average.
well to be fair, they didnt see the film as a boring forgettable shit show.

they said its average because the monster stuff is really god damn good but the human element was "meh".
granted for godzilla the human shit is hard to pull off, but no one ever said its forgettable.

you make star wars average and forgettable you might as well have made something worse than the prequels.
>>
How great would it be if it actually did get middling reviews?

Won't happen though, literally everyone is paid off.
>>
No duracell, not real.
>>
>>63608053
The human element was garbage. The soldier character was the least interesting protagonist I've ever seen.
>>
>>63607953

Shit, finally someone that kinda agrees with me. I think the Star Wars movies are for kids. They always were meant for kids. That's why those Christmas specials existed. I personally liked Ep.1 more than Ep.4. Sure, I think ep.3 and ep.5 are decent but overall they are movies for kids.

HOWEVER I think Ep.7 will be great cause by now they know their fans are not kids and actually they are grown adults so hopefully they'll make great entertaining movie with good story.

(no..seriously how the fuck is "I'M YOUR FATHER" cosnidered a good plot twist? holy fuck..that's cheesy and retarded..a soap series level of 'twist" )
>>
>>63608173
the thing is that even paid-off critics subtly telegraph what they really thought of the film. Fury Road got a LOT of "well it's a lot of driving I guess, 8/10" reviews. obviously it fucking sucks that they're part of the marketing process now but at least the text of their reviews contains some useful information.
>>
>>63607752
>Review embargoes aren't legally binding
If you sign a contract, and that contract has a NDA, and you breech the NDA, you are in breech of contract, and the case against you is air tight, if only civil.
>>
>>63608334
the entire goal is to have so many critics posting reviews in such a short timeframe that no one will bother to read any of them, and just look at the 100% RT score, because all the reviews are over 5.1/10.

I, too, saw the midnight showing. Flew up to SF to see it at a friend's theater. Agree with everything. I don't think I ever went to see it again...I did download it from a Warez site over a three day period when someone finally got a cam up. Those were the days.
