They're all forgettable. 10 years from now gotg will probably be the only movie from the mcu people remember. And that only because it's a kids movie that kids actually like. I thought the basic setup of the movie was actually pretty cool. The jokes and lines fell flat a lot though. Like it tired hard to have witty banter but it just came off weird. Also the Hope chick was not remotely attractive.

The first one is a classic sword in the stone with fish out of water elements. It's fun but rough around the edges, Thor is almost too much of a thick skulled asshole at first. It's actually the movie that made me like Coulson. "Guy never tells me anything."
The second one has a fantasy enemy from Thor lore, and I like the magic/technology mix the elves have specifically. Loki was also a character again after The Avengers. So while the atmosphere and action were better, Thor more likable, it was also bogged down by too much Selvig in his underwear. Oh and the gravity spike detectors opening portals is stupid if they weren't designed to do that but whatever I guess.I also like .Darcy

It's never a joke. The Trevor reveal is played for a laugh, but it doesn't diminish any of the schemes or murders. The Trevor reveal isn't "the mandarin is a druggie actor" the twist is Killian is the Mandarin. They even put in dialogue at the end to hammer this into your brain.

Why not only use the Hulkbuster once it's built? Why not always have 40 autonomous suits flying around your house in defense? Because you don't press the big red button until you have to, otherwise K gets pissed. As evident by Age of Ultron, having JARVIS pilot all these suits isn't really plan A. It was an act of desperation.

The entire movie has humor in it. Minutes in run time before Happy gets hurt, he's fumbling with an iPad. The Mandarin drama is punctuated jokes about door bells. The little town fight is predicated by a kid actor and a Tony fanboy.

I genuinely don't understand the appeal that Guardians of the Galaxy has. Most people who talk about it claim it as the best of the MCU,but I saw it in the theater and it felt like a kids movie from start to finish. Sure there was a couple of adult jokes from MemeLord, but the 'team' aspect felt incredibly forced, batistas dialogue was cringe worthy as fuck, and the whole story felt more like a way to set up the infinity stones again.

Even in the comics he goes huge stretches of disuse, only for some writer to dig him up, try to make him interesting, FAIL, and the cycle repeats every five years or so since the goddamned 60s.

I liked the first Thor. It was really the best way to deal with that character in a concise way. Even in the comic he's got the most all-over-the-place status quo. No one knows how to do a good Thor story that isn't just a telling of the original myths.
Him in New Mexico was one of the better runs the comic had in a long time. The movie took the Earth and Asgard parts of the character and did an impressive job of fleshing them out AND tying it all in with the fledgling Cinematic Universe.
