I just started watching it. 2 episodes in. I find it quite riveting. Also is there going to be alot of violence? I feel it building up.
I just binge watched the first two seasons. It's boring pleb bullshit. It uses slow talking and music nonstop to try to convey emotion that isn't earned. It's terrible.

It's a fucking great show (and although season 2 was less to my taste, I'd still give it a solid 9/10), but it's not nearly the best of the decade.
We've had shows like Mad Men, A Young Doctor's Notebook, The Americans and Utopia, all of which are at least just as good if not better.

Politics is largely irrelevant. It seems like most people stopped giving a shit after the happening happened. It hints at divine things happening, but leaves it ambiguous about whether they were real or not. One of the main characters is a priest tho.

season 1 is one of my favorite things ever and season 2 is ok - good tier, it just isn't depressing anymore and i don't feel as much emotional resonance from it.
Not to mention the black characters aren't really likeable for me and I never felt sorry for them the way I did for Kevin, Jill, Chris and Nora. Black family definately lacked depth.
Also the season felt a bit derivative because there was that one episode where Matt had to race against time to achieve a goal and then at the end it was someone trying to save their daughter from the GR.
Best thing for me was the structure of season 2 though, I hated it when they did that with Lost season 2 but it worked really well here, mainly because I wasn't looking forward to what happens next, just what happened before.
I didn't really like episode 1 either but it was this huge setup for episode 2 where they link all the events together.

Lost was an attempt at a primetime soap. The point was to continue forever. The point where it was proven that wasn't going to happen was nikki and paulo. They tested so completely negatively it proved the show couldn't just rotate through characters, and most people were watching for the sci-fi, rather than the cheap character drama.
So, it is you, sir, and people who managed to continue liking lost after the finale, who don't understand lost.
