A friend of a friend was a critic at the New York Film Festival so I saw a screener of it. I would say it's similar to Syndromes and a Century but with some supernatural elements from Uncle Boonmee.

It's one of those movies I'll passively watch when it comes out on TV or something. I hear great things about it though.

Was Love actually good? I was under the impression that it was just porn.
>>
>>63581106
No problem anon.
>>
>>63578552
how was Knight of Cups when compared to To the Wonder? i found To the Wonder rather lame after the awe-inspiring Tree of Life. his new style of storytelling is hit and miss but the cinematography is always top notch, imo.
>>
>>63581214
not that anon, but my opinion is that Love is worth watching. different people get different stuff out of it. some see it as boring, others arousing, some pedestrian, others as auteur. i dug the editing, music, cinematography, and some of the storytelling techniques. the acting and writing were the low points. some of the voice-overs were juvenile, which harkens to the type of character the protagonist is, but it does make for some cringing. i think Love would have been infinitely better with the original cast Noe had in mind years ago - Bellucci and Cassell. either way, it's not just porn. give it a watch.
>>
>>63581368

Don't listen to this guy its just porn, if any of the cinema masters were to see this they'd leave film making forever.
>>
>>63581422
nah, it's not a great film, but by no means is it an Adam Sandler movie. all the technical aspects are on point, it's the story and acting that were spotty.

There's nothing innovative about a single-shot film. It's been done many times.

3. The Walk

Brooklyn was great for the first hour, and Saorise is excellent, but the last third felt sloppy as fuck. Also the trailer is horribly misleading, and kind of spoils the movie.
